Outdoor School: By Tanner Coulter, 6th Grader
I think that Outdoor Science School was the best thing I have ever done. I think this because I got to hike in the forest and learn about it, dissect a squid and learn about animals, learn about the water and go to the beach to learn about the land. Another thing I liked about Outdoor Science School is that it was on the coast and I got to meet new people in my cabin, at breakfast, at lunch, at dinner, and during field studies every day. Because the camp was on the coast we got to go to the tide pools. I fell in the water four times and got my shoes wet! Most of all, we got to learn new things in the four field studies: water, earth, forest, and animal. In these four field studies you learned about different things. In the water field study you learned about water. In the forest you learned about the forest. For the animals, you learned about animal decomposing. Finally, during the earth field study you learned about how the camp was made and about compost which needs FBI (a.k.a Fungi, Bacteria, and Invertebrate). I thought it was an educational camp. One thing I can say is that, it was a fun experience for me and everyone else. Also, it was an exciting school activity for sixth graders.
